Pannell & Clifford Hart,
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that minutes of previous meeting
be approved with an addition be attached to the minutes concerning the City
accepting the sewer line constructed by J.M. Whisenant on property owned by
him in the W.J. Jackson Survey. The amendment requires an easement be provided
by the owners of the property involved to the City before the City will accept
maintainence of this line. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Blankenship that Ordinance No. 153 be
Approved regulating the exploration and drilling for oil within the Corporate
Limits. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Mrs Sylvia Herbold and Mrs Howard Robertson appeared before Council seeking
information on the Drive -In -Grocery that has been proposed to be built adjacent
to their homes on the West side of Allen Drive. Council explained to these ladies
that this property had been properly zoned for this buisness for some time and
legally there was not anything the City Could do to prohibit construction of
this building as long as all of the City Specifications and Ordinances were
observed.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that application from Texas State
Library System granting the Allen Public Library a start of $375.00 be approved.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against,
Bid for repairing air conditioning system in Fire Station was submitted by
Rodenbaugh Air Conditioning Co. hiotien C,D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that
additional information and bids be secured, preferably a Carrier Dealer since the
unit is still in warranty. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whi'aaker that bid from Allen Fence Compar{y
be approved for repair to be done at Little League Ball Park. Motion Carried 5
For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnnie Blankenship that City purchase 2 - 2 inch
water meters at a cost of $197.50 each including connections. Motion Carried 5
For 0 Against.
Jack Hammett appeared before Council and asked about the completion of
the ditch behind their property. Council advised Mr. Hammett that this work
would be combleted as soon as the weather permitted,
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that recconendation of Planning &
Zoning Commission be approved changing their regular meeting date from the First
Monday night of each month to the second Monday night of the month; also that the
number comprising the Commission be increased from 5 to 7. Motion Carried 5 For
0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that charge by the City for mowing
be increased from $7.50 to .'115.00 per hour. Motion Carried U For 0 Against. Clifford
Hart abstained.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship that meeting adjourn.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
