Regular meeting of the Town Counoel

Meeting called to order by Mayor--V.B.Watson,
Bob Carroll is present and to submit a petition to the town council
to require-the-management of the A.H. Stacy Gin Co.construct a
disposal plant for the purpose of burning waste material from the Gin
property sufficient to lessen the danger of fire to the property adjacent
to or near the skid gin property. Petition attached hereto.
Motion by T.H Cundiff sec. by R.G.Butler_that there will be NO_POLL
TAX REQUIRED FOR THE TOWN FOR THE YEAR 1954 OR HEREAFTER
UNTIL THE TOWN COUNCIL MIGHT SEE FIT TO REQUIRE POLL TAX AGAIN.

Motion by W.E. Ford sec. by E.L. Leach to require rate MWI as shoen
in rate book from the TEXAS POWER & LIGHT COMPARY for the purpose of
pumping water for the town. Four (4) in favor, None (0) against.
Motion by T.H. Cundiff sec. by R.G.Butler to put in four (4) more
street lights to be placed as follows, one at the south east corner of
the school ground, one at the corner at Edwin L. Ereckson place, one
near W.C. Leach place, and one on the corner near the H.C. Brooks place.
Four (4) for none (0) against.
Meeting adjourned.
