Whitaker Councilmen: Bob Lowman, Johnny Pannell and Clifford Hart Absent: Mayor Frank Dugger, Councilman Johnnie Blankenship. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of previous meeting be aperoved as read. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Public Hearing was held on zoning change request of Zinovia Dimitratus, changing the zoning on 17.208 Acres - Wm. Perrin Survey - Abstract #708 from R-2 Classifaction to PD Classifaction. Dottye Bateman was present and spoke for the request. She stated that at this time a land Plan was not available on this property; but the owners and their engineer would work with Planning R.. Zoning and the Council on a plan for this property. There was no one present to oppose this request. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that this request be Approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Bid was opened from Hartley Construction Company on proposed street work. Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that this matter be taken under advise- ment for study untill next meeting and that Mr. Hartley be invited to be present at that time to explain his bid. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Bids were received on a new Fire Truck. Boardman Company bid $17,912.00 on the pumper $8667.00 on International Chassis Tilt Cab, $6560.00 Convential Cab, Ford Chassis $9,150.00 . Fire Truck Inc. $36,385.06 on a pumper mounted on a Ford Chassis. Fire Appliance Compa n- 17 38 .0i _on pumper, City furnish Chassis. Motion Johnny Pannell Second ddvgH$33iP 'tbat bids be taken under advisement and study of specifactions and decision would be reached at next meeting night. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Bob Lowman that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Larry Renne appeared before Council and asked why that garbage in Fountain Park Addition could not be picked up in the alleys. Council advised Mr. Renne that under the present Contract garbage would be picked up at curbside in front of the houses, but Southern Sanation would be contacted on this request. Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Part that meeting adjourn. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
