I 'Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the Committee Members present,the regular meeting of the Public Art Committee was
called to order by Vice Chair Wittsche at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday,July 18,2023, in the Parks and
' - Recreation Conference Room of the Municipal Courts,Parks and Recreation Building, 301 Century
Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.

. 1. Approve Minutes from the June 20,2023,Regular Meeting
. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Committee Member Sennour and a second by
Committee Member Wheeler,the Committee voted four(4)for and none(0)
- opposed to approve the minutes from the June 20, 2023,Regular Meeting.The
motion carried.
,4tr; 2. Establish a Budget for the Bark Yard Public Art Project.
a ` : After a brief discussion,the following motion was presented.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Committee Member Midkiff and a second by Committee
Member Sennour,the Committee voted four(4)for and none(0)opposed to
establish a budget of up to$350,000 for the Bark Yard Public Art Project. The
motion carried.

`.'The Committee reviewed the call draft and suggested several minor edits including increasing the
honorarium from $500 to $1000 to remain in line with industry standards.
4. Update on Ongoing Projects.
Jennifer Robinson, Strategic Projects Manager,provided an update on the library display and the
progress of the Storybook Trail artwork.
5. Discussion on Future Projects.
The Committee discussed publishing a coloring book that showcases the City of Allen Public Art.
The budget for this project will be set at a future meeting. The following motion was then
presented.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Committee Member Wheeler and a second by

,. opposed to approve the creation and publication of a coloring book showcasing
y<r; the City of Allen Public Art. The motion carried.
6. :Items of Interest(Announcements regarding local civic and charitable events,meetings,
fundraisers,and awards)
a. Items for Future Agendas
Committee to set a budget for the coloring book.
b. Next Meeting: Tuesday,August 15, 2023.
Adjournment
Vice Chair Wittsche adjourned the meeting at 7:24 pm.
