Present: Mayor: Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Clifford Hart, Johnny Pannell, Johnnie
Blankenship.
Absent: Bob Lowman
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of previous meeting be
approved as read. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Tom Brian appeared before Council in regards to erecting a modular type build-
ing to be used as a Dental Clinic. Buddy Scalf, representing Morgan Building
Company, also was present to present information on this type of building.
Council advised that is city building codes were met, a permit would be issued
for construction on this building.
Jack Decatur appeared before Council seeking information as to how the purchase
of gasoline and other services for vehicles owned by the City was handled. Mayor
advised Mr. Decatur that gasoline was purchased on a bid basis, also repair work
is done by bid. All other items are purchased from service stations in the City
on a rotating basis.
Jim Eaton, Water Supertendent, appeared in regards to hiring an employee for
the Water Department. Council advised Mr. Eaton they would follow his rec-
comendation on this matter.
Correspondance was read from Mrs. Lucille Brazeal in regards to a problem that
exsists in front of her property caused by lumber being stored along the rail-
road right-of-way by Builders Hardware. Since this is in violation of the
City Zoning Ordinance, Motion Clifford Hart Second Johnnie Blankenship that
Builders Hardware be advised of this violation and be required to move this
lumber. Motion carried 2 for 0 against. C.D. Whitaker and Johnny Pannell ab-
stained from voting.
Request was received from Texas Power & Light Company on energizing street
lights in Rolling Hills Addition. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart
that request be denied untill water problems in this addition be solved.
Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that report on Police activities for
the week, be provided the newspaper not later than Monday morning of each week.
Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance #164 be approved
changing the zoning on property owned by Justice Mortage Company and Donald J.
Tobin. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Motion C. D. Whitaker Second Johnnie Blankenship that June 28, 1974 be set as
date for Tax Equalization Board meeting for the year 1974. Motion carried 4
for 0 against.
Public hearing was held on zoning change request of Tom Cate on all property
owned by him in Block H of the Old Donation from R-16 to LR -PD classifaction.
No opposition was present on this request. Motion Johnny Pannell Second C.D.
Whitaker that request be granted. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.

Motion Johnny Pannell Second C.D. Whitaker that Janet Bates become a full time
employee for the City at a starting salary of $400 per month. Motion carried
4 for 0 against.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second Johnny Pannell that bills presented be ap-
proved. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that employee for Water Department
be paid $463.00 per month. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Dart that meeting adjourn.
