Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of last meeting
be approved as read. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against.
Gentry Jones requested permission to build a garage on his lot. Council
advised that if he would furnish the City a letter from his neighbors
stating that they did approve, then he could commence building.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart to approve request from First
Baptist Church to close the alley behind lots #4, #5, #9, and #10 in
Block 14 O.D. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against.
County Commissioner Chuck Frisk appeared about the drainage problem
that exists on Jupiter Road and Allen Heights Drive. He requested that
the City and the County work together on this problem. Mr. Frisk ad-
vised that the County will furnish all the labor and the City furnish
the materials. Council advised Mr. Frisk to meet with the City Engineer
Walter Hicks and decide what action needs to be taken.
Mayor Dogger read letter he is sending to the Highway Department, in
reference to bridge crossing over 2170. Ed Lynge discussed the con-
versation he and Don Rodenbaugh had with the Highway Dept. Mrs.
Bernice Harney asked for a temporary crossing, but Mr. Lynge felt like
the State would not allow this. Much discussion followed. Larry Moore
was advised to call about placing amber lights on each side of bridge.
Mrs. Call appeared and asked City Council to extend Roaring Springs all
the way through to #2170. Council advised her^Le-contact Luterman-Harris.

Motion Clifford Hart Second C.D. Whitaker that John H. Jones be allowed
to locate a mobile home on the lot at 301 St. Mary. Motion denied 2 For
3 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that if he would
furnish the City a letter from his neighbors staing that they did approve,
then he could move his mobile home in. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against.
Council discussed bids on the safe and decided to run the ad one more
week.
Officer Hensley appeared concerning street sign on 2170 at the High
School being misleading in respect to the wording " when children are
present". Council advised Chief Hancock to see Mr. Huffman about this.
Officer Hensley also appeared and discussed an ordinance for a curfew
for the kids.
Ron Gentry appeared about step -van for Fire Dept. Council opened
bids and advised Gentry to tabulate differences and give council
the figures.
Larry Moore appeared to request $1950.00 for the Pee Wee Football
teams. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell to approve expenditures.
Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship to pay bills presented.
Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that Council adjourn into
Executive Session. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
