City Council, City of Allen,
Present: Mayor Frank Bugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Clifford Hart, H.C. Brooks, Jr.,
Bob Lowman and Mickey Pierson.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that minutes of last meeting be
approved as read. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Public hearing was held on closing the alley behind Dr. Vita's property.
There was no opposition. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Mickey Pierson
to close the alley. Motion carried 5 for 0 agaLnst.
Robin Streff, the Summer Recreation Director, gave a report on the activities
of the summer program. Council commended Mrs. Streff for her work.
Council ok'd the request of the City of Dallas to place a rain gunge on
the roof of the Fire Dept. to measure the rainfall for the lake Ray Hubbard
water shed.
Motion Mickey Pierson Second Bob Eowman to pay bills presented. Motion
carried 5 for 0 against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Eowman to pay bill of Bob Carr's when the work
has been approved by Walter Hicks. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Council ok'd the Police Dept. purchasing additional rain gear that is needed.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that meeting adjourn. Motion carried
5 for 0 against.
