REGULAR MEETING
August 7, 1975
City Council, City of Allen
Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Mickey Pierson, Clifford Hart,
and H.C. Brooks, Jr.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Mickey Pierson that minutes of last meeting be approved
as read. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Dale Williamson of Ione Star Gas Company appeared in reference to a rate increase.
Mr. Williamson showed various charts in reference to Lone Star's increased costs
of operations. Councilman Lowman questioned Mr. Williamson about the fact that
the Company's dividends have increased markedly since 1970. Also, the fact
that Allen residents have to make long distant calls to request service or to
question their bills. After much discussion, Motion was made by C.D. Whitaker
and Seconded by Bob Lowman to delay a decision on this request until further
study could be made. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Mayor Dugger discussed the fact that Fox and Jacobs now has 100 lots under
contract and an option on 209 more lots. Mayor Dugger read a letter from
Walter Damon of Fox and Jacobs. Council adopted resolution # 181 to accept
Fox and Jacobs proposed plans for Windridge # 1.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker to approve Tax Roll. Motion carried 5 for
0 against.
Bob Acker thanked the Council for sponsoring the 4 firemen that attended
training school at Texas A & M.
Gentleman appeared in reference to his garbage not being picked up. He advised
that he had his garbage in 32 gallon G I cans which weigh 331bs. apiece.
Council advised Larry Moore to check into this further.
Mayor and Council extended a special thanks to Robin Streff and her staff
for doing such a good job with the Summer Recreation Program.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Mickey Pierson to pay bills. MotLon carried 5 for 0
against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Mickey Pierson that meeting adjourn. Motion carried
5 for 0 against.

Chief Anthony Hancock appeared in reference to Collin County Major Crime Task
Force, that is to be Federally funded by the Criminal Justice Division. Council
approved to back the program in its entirety. A resolution was sent to the
Criminal Justice Divison reference program.
