Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the committee members present, the regular meeting of the Public Art
Committee was called to order by Chair Carroll at 6:02 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the
Parks and Recreation Conference Room at 301 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
1. Approve minutes from the May 19, 2015 Regular Meeting
MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Barry and seconded by committee
member Gilbert, the committee voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed to accept minutes from
the May 19, 2015 regular meeting as presented.
2. Appointment of Two Members to the Public Art Master Plan Update Advisory Committee
Chair Carroll called for two volunteers to serve in this capacity and after a short discussion of the
time commitment and duties the following motion was presented.
MOTION, Upon a motion made by committee member Carroll and seconded by committee
member Barry, the committee voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed to appoint

committee members Benson and Gilbert to the Public Art Master Plan Update
Advisory Committee.
3. Ford Pool Master Plan Review and Future Project Discussion
Elizabeth Holser, with Brandstener Carroll Inc, the design consult firth for the Ford Pool Project,
shared with the committee the project master plan for the renovations. As she walked the
committee through the plan, she noted several locations throughout the project that have been
identified as potential locations for Public Art. She also showed several examples of similar
projects and then answered questions from the committee.
4. Financial Review
The financial position was updated to include the additional bond funds that were received in
May.
5. Ongoing Project Updates
Mr. McComb shared that the Cottonwood Creek Trail bridge project, as well as the Wave
Machine project, are both moving forward as expected.
May and Watkins Design, LLC have been in communication with Dunaway, the project design
consultant for the Watters Branch Project and will be planning a site visit in the coming months.
