for those who worked on them as a hobby and did not have them licensed.
They suggested they be able to receive a permit for a 6 month period
which would be issued by the police department, allowing them to
restore such vehicles without a license. Motion Lowman 2nd Tollett
to draw up an ordinance to this effect with a $5.00 per vehicle
charge for a permit, and each vehicle to be covered with a 4 mil
plastic or its equavilant. Motion carried 4 For 0 Against.
Motion Lowman 2nd Tollett to amend the ordinance on construction
inspections because of numerous request for inspections when the
work is not complete. Motion Lowman 2nd Tollett to set x$5.00
charge for each unnecessary trip. 4 For 0 Against.
Motion Lowman Second Brooks to pay bills. 4 For 0 Against.
Motion Brooks Second Chandler to adjourn into Executive Session
with Chief Wancock regarding salaries. �1

Motion Lowman 2nd Chandler to approve minutes as read. Motion carried
4 For 0 Against.
Letter from Planning and Zoning secretary Jeanne Nance was read by
Mayor Dugger. The first request was on the propertyin the Wm Perrin
Survey, to change zoning from R2 -Pd to PD Single family and retail.
This request was denied by P&Z. Motion Brooks Second Tollett to
set meeting of January 4, 1977 as date for public hearing . Motion
carried 4 For 0 Against.
The second request was from Rat Mayfield on 48 acres in the Mc Bain
Jameson Survey, to change from R2 to LR-PD,R5-PD & R4 -PD class-
ification. This request was also denied by P&Z. Motion Lowman
Second Brooks to set public hearing date as January ` . 4 For 0 Agt.

Letter from First Baptist Church and Jim Kerr of Allen Flower Shop,
requesting that the alley be closed between the old Holt property,
on the corner of Main and Birch, and the Flower Shop, as the alley
'
runs north and south between the two. They were advised to get
letters from Mr. Herndon and Gary Smith stating their approval by the
next council meeting.
