Motion Brooks Second Tollett to leave the tax rate the same, being $1.25 per
$100 assessed value. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
A Public Bearing was held on 4.968 acres in the Peter Fisher Survey, Abstract
#326. Request was made to change zoning from PD to GB and GI. Motion Pierson
Second Brooks to approve reycyenii¢ation of P &,% to change this zoning. Motion
carried 4 For 1 abstaining.11FFdd
Public Rearing was held on Special Exception request to allow a Drive In
Restaurant in General Business zoning on 1.00 acre in the Peter Weisel Survey,
Abstract 990. Motion Pierson 2nd Farmer to approve this special exception
request subject to the installation of the fence shown on plans. Motion
carried 4 For 1 Against. 9 a.?L
Motion Farmer Second Tollett to approve Wm. Walters request for a special exception
to allow him to add living quarters upstairs for his mother, as Ed Lynge had
approved this request for the WhisLynge Addition. Motion carried 5 For 0 against.
Buddy Shepard nresented the preliminary plat for Fountain Park III, showing 98
lots, rather than the original 202. .As this plat complies with the city engineers
requirements on streets and drainage, and with the required 6" concrete for
Roaring Springs, a motion was made by Pierson and Seconded by Brooks to approve
this preliminary plat. Motion carried 5 For 0 against.
Roger Powell presented a Traffic Safety Plait, a complete traffice engineering
study, which will set a standard traffic safety plan. This study will be funded
by the Office of Traffic Safety in Austin, our local share being 50% of the
$10,000plan and they will accept Roger's work as our share of the match. Motion
Pierson Second Tollett to draw up resolution authorinzing the mayor to make
application for funds. Motion carried 5 For 0 ag inst. They approved Roger
using his descretion in choosing a consultant. n>f=,?d3
Motion Brooks Second Chandler to adopt the new Fire Codes. Motion carried
5 For 0 against. &It 1 Z.2
A report was made regarding the City of McKinney's request that we contribute
$17,200 for ambulance service this year, which is 4$ per capita. Several
alternatives are to be studied, meanwhile Chief Mayfield of the Plano Fire
Department advised that they could carry us for now. At this time, our
dispatchers have been directed to call them.
Mickey Pierson reported on his conversation with County Commissioner Chuck
Frisk, who advised that they would give us Jupiter Road after this work is
completed.

The maintenance of the easements in Windridge was discussed. Bob Acker reported
that Fox & Jacobs was to notify all residents that they were responsible and Buddy
is to help us with a notice in the paper.
Ron Gentry discussed House Bill #411. regarding the Volunteer Fireman's Retirement
Plan. According to the plan proposed, a committee would be set up from the Fire
Dept, the community and the council. Cost is $12 per month per fireman. If the
City does participate in this plan, we must write a letter by November stating this.
Motion Brooks Second Farmer to pay bills. Motion carried 5 For 0 against.
