Motion Pierson Second Tollett to adopt minutes as read. Motion carried 5 for
0 against.
Wallace Campbell with Hersey Meter Companyrding the purchase of water
meters for the next fiscal year. By ordering in a quantity of 800, the
meters could be purchased for $30.35, with shipments to begin in July
and on tbru Feb. 1979, with 102 a month being shipped if needed. Motion
Pierson Second Brooks to purchase in that quantity. Motion carried 5
for 0 against.
Robert Moore, 568 Ridgemout, informed the coacil of a drainage problem
at his residence, which is located at the corner of Jupiter Rd and Ridgemont.
He was advised by Fox and Jacobs that it is the citys problem; however, the
mayor pointed out that the streets in Windridge were ,engineered by F & J,
but that we did accept the responsibility of maintaining them. Jimmy Eaton
advised that the only solution to the problem is to lower Jupiter, concrete,
and curt and gutter it; however, he was act aware of my plans to do this in
the immediate future. The Mayor recommended that an engineer shoot some
grade and see what we need to do now, possibly divert it across Jupiter.
He advised Mr. Moore that we will try to have some possible alternatives
by the next meeting. Other neighbors in that area spoke of the same and
similar problems related to this complaint, to which the mayor assured
them, that we would try to work out for them.
Motion Pierson Second Tollett to make application to P & Z, requesting that
the zoning be changed to LR on the approximately 8 acres of ball park property
on 2170. This motion carried 5 for 0 against and Charles Chandler is to
attend thenext P & Z meeting.
Bids were opened 4W a mower with the following bids: Ben Griffin (Servis)
$828.65 and H.L. Peterson (Bush Hog) $1085.00. Motion Farmer, Second
Pierson for Jimmy Eaton to check these bids out. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
After some discussion concerning the hiring of an engineer, Roger Powell
was advised to receive proposals and qualifications from several fitms.
Motion Brooks Second Pierson to pay bills. Motion carried 5 For 0 against.
Motion Brooks Second Pierson to adjourn. Motion tamed 5 for 0 against.
