Eileen Tollett and N.C. Brooks, Jr.
Motion Chandler Second Farmer to adopt minutes as read. Motion carried unanimously.
Before giving the oath of office to the incoming mayor, Frank Tugger expressed
his appreciation to the pest and present council members and employees for their
help and support during his 10 years is the office of mayor.
After M.B. Pierson was sworn is as mayor, Charles Chandler and Glean Andrew
were given the cath of office as councilmen.
Charles Chandler a—'- ted H.R. Daughtery to fill the one year unexpired
term of Mickey Pierson as councilmen. He expressed that Mr. Paugbtery not only
was the 3rd top vote receiver and almost 2nd; but that be was also interested
SIL the city and regularly attended the meetings. Motion Farmer Second Brooke
to appoint H.R. Daugbtery by acclaimatioa. Motion carried 5 For 0 against.
At that time be was sworn in by Mayor Pierson.
A Public Hearing was set for May 4 for the city ball park property. Request
was made to change the zoning from the present CF to LR. P 6 Z recommended that
PD be attached to the IF classification. Motion Brooke Second Chandler to
set this date. Motion carried uaeaimously.
Motion Farmer Second Andrew that May 18 be set for a public hearing on a 17
etre tract of lead in the Rufus Sewell Survey, Abstract #875 and the McBeL
Jamison Survey, Abstract #491. Request was made to change zoning from the
present TH to GB classification. Motion carried 5 For 0 against. to set
this date.
Boa Scruggs requested a variance on the saw property in Rolling Hills that
he had requested one for on March 16; however, this variance was granted
for the other side of the lot. Motion Farmer Second Brooks thatjt be granted
with the approval by letter from the neighbor Ray Cotaolr at 23.7 Gleawick,
stating that he was aware of this and would give his carseat. Motion carried
5 For 0 against.
Buddy Shepherd presented a preliminary plat of Fountain Park 4. Motion Farmer
Second Chandler to accept. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion Brooks Second Chandler to hire Bobby Priddy of Lancaster as the lark
and Recreation Director, effective May 1. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Roger Powell requested that a workshop be set to consider the items to bel'��
requested in the$500,000 Community Block Grant. Motion Andrew Second Farmer
to set the meeting for Thursday, April 27, 7:00 P.M. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Fix stated that a public hearing would be

Motion Brooks and second Andrews to pay the bills. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Motion Farmer Second Chandler to adjourn. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
