Absent: H.C. Brooks and H.R. Daugherty
Motion Farmer Second Chandler to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried 3 - 0.
A Public Hearing was held an the request from Sill Parents of Cambridge Co. to
ramex a 10' strip and to deannex his approximate 101 acres to Piano. Several
were in attendance to voice their opposition to this request, including Mrs.
Eugene McDermott. After much discussion a matin was made by Andrews and
seconded by Chandler not to unisex the strip and to retain old boundaries. Motion
carried unanimously.
Mike Swiker of Lone Star Cas Co, requested that the city renew their froachise.
Motion Farmer Second Andrew to ream this franchise. Motion carried 3 to 0. �'2�q
A Public Hearing was held for a variance request by Rickard Chnkms to operate
a business with a resideace upstairs at 207 W. Main. Some spoke far and same
against. A petition against was also received from the adjoining businesses.
Matin was made by Chandler Second by Andrew to deny the variance request. The
meth carried 2 for 1 against. (Farmer)
The wastewater contract from North T qq---W-apptewstar Dist. was reviewed. Motion
by Farmer Second by Andrew to apprevr%iiAvePAevided the engineer and attorney
agree that Allen is protected in the outfall live. Motion carried unanimously.
The minutes of the August 14 meeting of P & Z Commission were read and approved.
LIAtthis meeting they had approved the plat n Oren Meadow Estates subject to
approval by our engineer for the water line. A letter was read from Ronald Fix
who had reviewed the water system pleas and found them to be is general conformity
with the current standard of the city, witk a few alterations and corrections. Motion
Fsraer to approve per engineers recommendation for the streets and drainage. Second
Chandler. Motion carried 3 for 0 against.
As the Legislature has exempt the 4% State Sales Tax an gas mad electricity and
provided on option on the 1% City Sales Tax, the council discussed whether to
repeat this 1% or to keep it. As they felt that it was needed to increase the
city services a matin was made by Daughtery(who had arrived) and second by Farmer
to keep the to by drawing ap n ordinance to that effect and to notify Mr. Bullock

On May the 4th the council had decided to delay their decision on the rezoning of
the Eillside park property until August. A matin was made by Damgherty Second by
Chandler to reject the change to LR and retain CF. Matin carried vasaimamsly.
The remodeling of the garage to provide office space was tabled until the next
meeting in order that bids might be received for the cnstructin, along with a
portable building to store the AAA equipment.
The council agreed to the P & Z recommeadation that an application be made for
a grant for water study and capitol improvements. Roger Powell is to make this
Application.
Matin Chandler Second Andrew to pay the bills. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion Farmer Second Andrew to adjourn. Motion carried vaenimonaly.
