A bid of $26,000 from Superior Southwest Ambulance was received. On a 36 month finance
plan the interest charges would be $2400; however, if we present a written guarantee
that we will purchase within 6 months the interest charge would be $815. Motion
Farmer Second Chandler to purchase the ambulance with this agreement. Motion carried
unanimously.
The variance request from Fox & Jacobs regarding the aide and sideyard building
lines mere again considered for Hillside X4. This request concerned 34 lots in
that addition. Several is attendance expressed their opinion regarding the front
entry garages as this is not consistent with the existing development. Most home
owners seemed to agree to the city allowing the variance in order that Fox & Jacobs
build as large a home as possible, and possibly with the car and half garage, which
would eliminate some of the conjestion of on the street parking. The consistencyin
the sidewalks was also discussed and this natter is to check out as far as cost is
concerned. As Fox & Jacobs had offered to dedicate lots 18,19, and 20 of Black W, for
use as a park, a motion was made by Andrew tad by Brooks to accept these 3 lots for
parks. Motion carried unanimously. Motion Andrew Second Brooks to grant the variances
as requested and they are as follows:
1. Side building line variance from 25' to 24'
Lets 41, Bleck Q and lots 24 & 25 Black Z
2. Sideyard variance from 14$ to 5'

Lots 1-3, 25-31 Block X
Lots 1, Block Y
Lets 1,8,43 Block Z
3. Sideyard variance from 10% to 5'
Lot 2, Block Z
This motioa carried unanimously. In addition, the following resolution was adopted:
Be it resolved that the Allen City Council encourages Fox and Jacobs to develop the
remainder of Hillside Village such that the new developments will be as compatible as
possible with the existing development.
Jimmy Eaton, W & S Superintendent reported that bis radio bay station at City Hall
was out and that he did not have funds in his budget to replace this old equipment,
at an approximate cost of $2640. Bob Acker felt that this unit could also be used
for Civil Defense and possibly receive 5050 grant funding. Motion Daugherty Second
