' AN RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THIN CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING SANITARY SEWER CHARGES, WATER
SERVICE CHARGES AND VOLUMETRIC CHARGES FOR PERIODS OF
UNCONSTRAINED WATER SUPPLY AND FOR PERIODS OF CONSTRAINED
WATER SUPPLY; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIN CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following Sanitary Sewer Charges are hereby established.
SANITARY
(1) Monthly minimum charge. Sixteen dollars and ninety-seven cents ($16.97) for any customer
whose water consumption for the month does not exceed one thousand five hundred (1,500)
gallons.
(2) Volumetric charge.
a. 1,500-10,000 gallons: Ninety-seven cents ($0.97) per one thousand (1,000) gallons
for all separately metered single-family dwelling unit and other dwelling units
' separately metered for water.
b. The maximum charge for single-family residential sewer service shall be twenty-five
dollars and twenty-two cents ($25.22) per month.
C. Over 10,000 gallons: Ninety-seven cents ($0.97) per thousand (1,000) gallons for
other than residential customers, including mobile home parks, apartment complexes,
commercial, and industrial customers.
SECTION 2. The following Water Service Charges are hereby established.
WATER SERVICE CHARGES
(1) Monthly minimum charge. The following minimum monthly charges are based on the meter
sin and include the cost of one thousand five hundred (1,500) gallons of water usage:
For a 5/8 inch standard meter..............$8.47
For a 3/4 inch standard meter .............$9.38
For a 1 inch standard meter ..............$11.20
For a 1-1/2 inch standard meter .........

For a 2 inch standard meter...............$21.17
For a 3 inch standard meter...............$33.87

(2) Volumetric charge. Water consumption in excess of one thousand five hundred (1,500)
gallons shall be charged at the following rate per one thousand (1,000) gallons of water usage
or fraction thereof:
Residential customer
0--1,500
Monthly minimum charge

$2.36 per 1,000 gallons
15,001--25,000
$2.83 per 1,000 gallons
Over 25,000 gallons
$3.30 per 1,000 gallons
Non -Residential customers (commercial, industrial, municipal):

Irrigation and Fire Protection:

SECTION 3. The following Volumetric Charges for periods of constrained water supply are hereby
established.
VOLUMETRIC CHARGES FOR PERIODS OF CONSTRAINED WATER SUPPLY
(1) Volumetric chmgges far periods of constrained water supply. Water consumption in excess of
one thousand five hundred (1,500) gallons shall be charged at the following rate per one
thousand (1,000) gallons of water usage or fraction thereof:

SECTION4. Should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this
resolution, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of said resolution which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. All prior resolutions of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the
provisions of this resolution, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however, that all other provisions
of said resolutions not in conflict with the provisions of this resolution shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage in accordance with its
provisions of the Charter of the City of Allen, and it is accordingly so resolved.
