SPECIAL MEETING
Allen City Council
November 26, 1979
Present: Mayor M.B. Pierson
Councilmen: Joe Farmer, Glenn Andrew and Rex Womack
Absent: H.R. Daugherty, Richard Chumbley and Charles Chandler
A Special Meeting of the Allen City Council was called to order
by Mayor M.B. Pierson.
Glenn Andrew moved the adoption of the following resolution (282):
A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT IT IS ADVISABLE
TO AUTHORIZE AND CREATE THE ALLEN INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION;
APPROVING THE PROPOSED ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION; SPECIFYING
THE PUBLIC PURPOSE OR PURPOSES WHICH THE CORPORATION MAY
FURTHER: AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY; AND APPOINTING DIRECTORS OF THE CORPORATION.
The Board of Directors are as follows: Willette Rosson, Frank Dogger
and Ward Paxton. The motion was second by Joe Farmer. Motion
carried unanimously.
Developer Del Morton and the council again discussed the pro rata
agreement for the east side sewer interceptor line. A formula
for the recovery of a portion of the cost from property owners
along the water shed for the construction of the line was agreed
upon.Motion Glenn Andrew Second Farmer to draw up an agreement
using the linear feet across the property, with a standard size
line, plus pro rata per acre. For: Pierson, Farmer and Andrew
Against: Womack.
Joe Farmer moved that the City engage John Boyle as a consultant
to assist in drawing up a sewer prorata ordinance and an agreement
with developers. Motion second by Rex Womack. Motion carried
unanimously.
Motion Joe Second Glenn Andrew to adjourn. Motion carried
unanimously.
