AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO TIE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY
SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
AND GRANTING TO ALL THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TERRITORY
ALL OF TIB; RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS
AND BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS,
ORDINANCES RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, application having been duly made for annexing
the below described territory to the City of Alien, Texas,
which application is in the form of a petition duly and
legally executed and filed with the Mayor of the City of
Allen, Texas, and the Mayor, having certified the same to
the Council of the City of .Allen, Texas, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held not more than twenty
nor less than ten days prior to the institution of such
annexation proceedings with notice of such hearing given in
the manner prescribed by law and all other requirements of
notice and completion of such annexation procedure being
fulfilled, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has investigated
into and determined thatall of the facts contained in said
petition are true, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has investigated
and determined that it will be advantageous and beneficial
to the City of Allen and its inhabitants as well as the
hereinafter described territory to annex such territory to
the City of Allen, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION ONE: That the territory described as follows
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Allen,
Texas, to -wit:
BEING a tract of land, situated in Collin County,
Texas, a part of the LEWIS WETSEL SURVEY, Abstract No. 978,
and being a part of a 103.82 acre tract as described in a
deed from U. T. Malone, et ux to H. K. Shelton, dated March
26, 1951, and recorded in Volume 425, Page 466 of the Collin
County Deed Records and being more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake in the Southeast corner of
the said tract;
THENCE SOUTH 89 degrees 29 minutes West, with an es-
tablished fence line and hedge row along the South line of
said tract, a distance of 2643.6 feet to an iron stake at
the Southwest corner thereof;
THENCE NORTH 0 degrees 14 minutes West with the hest
line of said tract, a distance of 186.4 feet to an iron
stake in the East right-of-way line of State Highway No. 5;
THENCE NORTH 19 degrees 24 minutes East, with the East
right-of-way line of said Highway, a distance of 73.4
feet to a wood right-of-way marker;
THENCE NORTH 18 degrees 52 minutes East with the East
right-of-way line of said highway, a distance of 869.00
feet to an iron stake;
THENCE along a curve to the right, said curve having
central angle of 4 degrees 43 minutes and a radius of 5619.38
a total distance of 462.60 feet to a concrete right-of-way
monument;
THENCE NORTH 23 degrees 35 minutes East with the East
right-of-way of Highway No. 5 to an iron stake, said stake
also being the Northwest corner of this tract;
TIIENCE 89 degrees 50 minutes East 2023.10 feet to
an iron stake, said stake also being the Northeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE SOUTH with the East line of this tract, a distance
of 1830.70 feet to the place of beginning and containing
100.392 acres of land.
SECTION TWO: That from and after the passage of this
Ordinance, said territory shall be a part of the City of
Allen, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled
to all of the rights, privileges and immunities of all other
citizens of the City of Allen, Texas, and shall be bound
'I:.":
by all of the ordinances and regulations enacted pursuant
to and in conformity with the general laws of the State of
Texas.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and approval and it is so
ordained.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the
City of Allen, Texas, on this the 19th day of August
1971.

COUNTY OF COLLIN
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the City Council of the City
of Allen, Texas, has been petitioned to annex the property
herein described and accordingly, after due notice, a public
hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of
Allen on the 19th day of August , 1971, at 7:30
o'clock P.M. to determine whether or not annexation pro-
ceedings should be commenced. Said property is described
as follows:
BEING a tract of land, situated in Collin County,
Texas, a part of the LEWIS WEISEL SURVEY, Abstract No. 978,
and being a part of a 103.82 acre tract as described in a
