AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY
OF ALLEN, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS AND GRANTING
TO ALL THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TERRITORY ALL
OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS
AND BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE
ACTS, ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS
OF THE CITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, application having been duly made for
annexing the below described territory to the City
of Allen, Texas, which application is in the form
of a petition duly and legally executed and filed
with the Mayor of the City of Allen, Texas, and the
Mayor, having certified the same to the Council of
the City of Allen, Texas, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held not more than
twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institution
of such annexation proceedings with notice of such
hearing given in the manner prescribed by law and all
other requirements of notice and completion of such
annexation procedure being fulfilled, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen, Texas,
has investigated into and determined that all of the
facts contained in said petition are true, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen, Texas,
has investigated and determined that it will be
advantageous and beneficial to the City of Allen,
Texas, and its inhabitants as well as the hereinafter
described territory to annex such territory to the
City of Allen, Texas;
NOW, THEREFOREā BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the territory described as follows be and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Allen, Texas, to -wit:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Peter Fisher Survey, Abstract
No. 324, and being a resurvey of the part of the 82.37 acre tract of land
described in a deed from Pete lynge at ux, to J.M. Whisenant, dated January
3, 1929, and recorded in Volume 274, Page 257, of the Collin County Deed
Records, and being three tracts containing 41.143 acres of land, 11.941 acres
of land, and 11.841 acres of land.
SECOND TRACT:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Peter Fisher Survey, Abstract
No. 324, recorded in Volume 659, Page 73 of the Collin County Deed Records
and containing 177.272 acres of land.
SECTION 2: That from and after the passage of this Ordinance, said ter-
ritory shall be a part of the City of Allen, Texas, and the inhabitants there-
of shall be entitled to all of the rights, privileges and immunities of all
other citizens of the City of Allen, Texas, and shall be bound by all of the
ordinances and regulations enacted pursuant to and in conformity with the
general laws of the State of Texas.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its pass-
age and approval and it is so ordained.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Allen, Terms,
has been petitioned to annex the property herein described and accord-
ingly, after due notice, a public hearing will be held by the City Council
of the City of Allen on the 18 day of May , 1972, at
7:30 o'clock P.M. to determine whether or not annexation proceed-
ings should be commenced. Said property is described as follows:
FIRST TRACT:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Peter Fisher Survey, Abstract
No. 324, and being a resurvey of the part of the 82.37 acre tract of land
described in a deed from Pete Lynge at ux, to J.M. Whisenant, dated January
33 1929, and recorded in Volume 274, Page 257, of the Collin County Deed
Records, and being three tracts containing 41.143 acres of land, 11.941
acres of land, and 11.841 acres of land.
SECOND TRACT:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Peter Fisher Survey, Abstract
No. 324, recorded in Volume 659, Page 73 0£ the Collin County Deed Records
and containing 177.272 acres of land.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS
We, the undersigned, after due notice, being a majority of the
qualified voters of the territory herein described, hereby vote in
favor of becoming a part of the City of Allen, and in connection
therewith, respectfully represent to the City Council of the City
of Allen as follows:
1. That the property to be annexed is described as follows:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Peter Fisher Survey,
Abstract No. 324, and being a resurvey of part of the 82.37 acre
tract of land described in a deed from Pete Lynge et ux, to
J.M. Whisenant, dated January 3, 1929, and recorded in Volume 274,
Page 247, of the Collin County Deed Records, and being three tracts
containing 41.143 acres of land, 11.941 acres of land, and 11.841
acres of land.
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Peter Fisher Survey,
Abstract No. 324, recorded in Volume 659, Page 73 of the Collin
County Deed Records and contanining 177.272 acres of land.
2. That said property is contiguous to the present corporate
limits of the City of Allen and lies wholly within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the City of Allen, Texas.
3. That said property does not exceed one-half (15) mile in
width, and the area to be annexed does not exceed 30% of the total
land area of the City of Allen as of January 1, 1972.
