' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE 2005-2006 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT ANNUAL ACTION PLAN; AUTHORIZING ITS SUBMISSION TO
THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD);
REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council recognizes the importance of neighborhood integrity and the needs of
individuals that may be assisted through participation in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Program; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council has identified high priority affordable housing and community
development needs; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council has undertaken a public participation process including consultation with
public service providers, input from residents and public hearings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. In order to fulfill the requirements of the Community Development Block Grant Program of
the City of Allen, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, hereby approves the 2005-2006 Annual Action
' Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Allen, and the City Manager, are hereby authorized to submit the
2005-2006 Annual Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for
review and approval.
SECTION 3. Any prior resolution of the City Council in conflict with the provisions contained in this
resolution are hereby repealed and revoked.
SECTION 4. Should any part of this resolution be held to be invalid for any reason, the remainder shall not
be affected thereby, and such remaining portions are hereby declared to he severable.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is so duly
resolved.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 28M DAY OF JUNE, 2005.
