' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING TOWING AND STORAGE FEES; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen desires to establish various towing and storage fees
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby establishes towing and storage fees for vehicles and property removed
from a highway as set forth m the attached Schedule of Removal and Storage Fees, and which is hereby
approved.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly so
resolved.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 9TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2004.

SCHEDULE OF REMOVAL & STORAGE FEES
(1) Basic towing charges for vehicles not requiring a heavy duty wrecker $65.00
Additional fees
a. Towing charge when dolly is used
$17.50
b. Towing charges for motorcycles
$15.00
c. Change wheel and tire
$10.00
d. If winch is required, addition for each fifty (50) feet of pull
$17.50
e. Flat rate to upright vehicle
$20.00
f Use and cleanup of absorbent material
$40.00
(2) Disregard fee after wrecker arrives
$32.50
(3) Heavy duty wrecker, flat fee for hook up
$150.00
Per hour after one hour
$150.00
Additional foes:
a. Mileage fee outside city per mile
$1.75
(excluding mileage to the wrecker storage)
b. If drive line must be dropped
$25.00
(4) Storage fees: There will be no storage fee for vehicles which remain in the pound less than
twelve (12) hours. At the end of the twelve- (12) hour limit, a storage fee of $15.00 will be
charged, plus $15.00 for each additional calendar day beginning at 12:00 midnight.
(5) All other labor. $100.00perhour, charged prorated in fifteen (15) minute increments. (i.e.
$25 each 15 min.) (not to include delays due to police officer's investigation). This does not
include charges incurred by the service for rented or subcontracted equipment for the
cleanup.
(6) The wrecker service may charge no more than the amount granted by the Texas Department
of Transportation, Motor Carder, Rules and Regulations, Chapter 18.93 Storage Fees and
charges for impoundment fees if they preserve a vehicle or remove and store personal
property from the vehicle for safe keeping
