RESOLUTION NO. 2184-&03(R)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE USE OF THE ALLEN
HERITAGE CENTER (TRAIN DEPOT); PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish various rental fees for the use of the Allen Heritage Center
(Train Depot).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Allan, Texas, establishes the fees and charges set forth herein
for the use of the Allen Heritage Center (Train Depot):

"Deposit of $100 for rental with food service and $50 for non-food service rental.
Allen Chamber of Commerce and Allen Independent School District will not be charged for room
rental of the Allen Heritage Center.
Persons providing volunteer hours through the Allen Heritage Guild will be given credit for one hour
of rental time for every two hours volunteered during business hours and one hour for every four
hours of volunteer time during after hours. The Allen Heritage Guild will coordinate all credit for
volunteer hours in pursuant to the agreement between the City of Allen and the Allen Heritage Guild,
and in accordance with the terms of that agreement as it exists at the time the volunteer service hours
are provided. Credit will only be given toward the Service Club rental fee.
Definitions:
"Business Hours" are defined as any rental occurring between the hours of 8 a.m. through 5 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
"After Hours" are defined as any rental occurring between 5 p.m. through 10 p.m., Monday through
Friday and 8 a.m. through 10 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
"Service Club or Organizations" mean those organizations or clubs who are based in the City of
Allen and chartered through a nationally recognized organization providing community service for
the citizens of Allen and surrounding communities.
"Non -Profit Organizations" mean those organizations that have been recognized by the Internal
Revenue Service as tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and that
' operate or maintain facilities in Allen, Texas.
SECTION 2. All resolutions in conflict with the provisions hereof, be, and they are hereby, repealed.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and atter its passage, and it is accordingly so
resolved.
