The Called - Special Session of the Allen City Council was
called to order by Mayor Pierson at 2:11 a.m, on Wednesday, Sep-
tember 16, 1981 in the Library of the Allen Senior High School,
600 E. Main Street.
Setting the Proposed Tax Rate for
FY 1981 - 82 for Adoption at Public
Meeting to be Held on September 17 1981
Upon a motion made by Councilman Chumbley and seconded by
Councilman McClure, the Council voted six (6) for and one (1)
opposed, with Councilman Paxton casting the negative vote, to
set the proposed tax rate at 36C per $100 valuation (or a proposed
26.38 increase in property taxes) for adoption at the public
meeting to be held on September 17, 1981.
Upon a motion made by Councilman Andrew and seconded by
Councilman McClure, the Council voted 7 - 0 to adjourn the
called - special session at 2:15 a.m.
Due to the lateness of the evening, Mayor Pierson advised
the Executive Session scheduled on the posted agenda was cancelled.
