A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT WITH
THE TEXAS STATE LIBRARY FOR A LONE STAR LIBRARIES GRANT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen supports library services for its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Texas through the Texas State Library and Archives Commission has made
available to qualifying public libraries direct aid in the form of Lone Star Grarits; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen received this grant last year and successfully fulfilled its approved Plan of
Action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes approval of a contract with the Texas State Library for the Lone
Star Libraries Grant and authorizes the City Manager to act on behalf of the City in matters related to securing
said grant.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Allen pledges that the City will comply with the terms of the
contract.
' SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
