' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING A COMMUNITY COLLABORATION ENTIFIED
THE ALLEN COMMUNITY ALLIANCE; IANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, has been presented a community collaboration
initiative between the Allen Community Outreach, Allen Independent School District, Allen Chamber of
Commerce, the Allen Ministerial Alliance and the City of Allen entitled the Allen Community Alliance (the
"Collaborative Effort); and,
WHEREAS, the Allen Community Alliance is an initiative to promote and support a seamless system of
community services and programs that effectively and efficiently meet the human service needs of the citizens
of Allen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Allen has determined that this Collaborative Effort is in the best
interests of the City of Allen and its citizens, and accordingly is in support thereof.
SECTION 2. The City Secretary shall forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Glenda May, Executive
Director of Allen Community Outreach.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 11"i DAY OF JUNE, 2002.
