ORDINANCE NO. 2036-4-02
' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF C.R. 1% IN ITS ENTIRETY TO
CHELSEA BOULEVARD AS DESCRIBED ON EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, has deemed it appropriate to
change the name of C.R. 196 in its entirety to Chelsea Boulevard; and,
WHEREAS, the name Chelsea Boulevard is noted on the filed plat for Allen Premium Outlets as the name
of the roadway; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there are no residents on the existing C.R. 196 at this time; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that renaming C.R. 196 to Chelsea Boulevard is consistent
with the Allen Land Development Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The name of C.R. 196 in its entirety shall be changed to Chelsea Boulevard as shown on
' Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The Traffic Engineer is directed to correct the maps and records of the City to
reflect the change in street time herein and to cause appropriate signage to be erected.
SECTION 2. Should any wad, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this
ordinance, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of said ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. All ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however that all other provisions of said
ordinances not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly
