A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
' COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A PROJECT
APPLICATION WITH THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COUNCIL OF
GOVERNMENTS FOR A REGIONAL SOLID WASTE PROGRAM LOCAL
PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, TO ACT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS IN ALL MATTERS
RELATED TO THE APPLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is directed by the Texas
Natural Resource Conservation Commission to administer solid waste project funds for implementation
of the NCTCOG's adopted regional solid waste management plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen, Collin County is qualified to apply for project funds under the Request
for Projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
IN COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to request project funding under the North Central Texas
Council of Governments' Request for Projects of the Regional Solid Waste Local Project Funding
Program and to act on behalf of the City of Allen in all matters related to the project application and any
subsequent project contracts that may result.
SECTION 2. If a Solid Waste Local Project is funded, the City of Allen will comply with the project
' requirements of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Texas Natural Resource Conservation
Commission and the State of Texas.
SECTION 3. The Solid Waste Local Project funds and any project -funded equipment or facilities will
be used only for the purposes for which they are intended under the project.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.

COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS ON THIS THE 7'" DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2002.
