' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF TEXAS,
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE DMSION TO ACCEPT THE
CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION GRANT, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MOBILE
CREWE SCENE UNIT, IF AWARDED; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the residents of the City of Allen and neighbors to have a Mobile Crime
Scene Unit to be utilized by the City of Allen Police Department Criminalist Unit; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen has considered the proposed application for State and Federal Assistance for said
project, in the amount of forty six thousand nine hundred and thirty one dollars (546,931) that was submitted to the
Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division to purchase a Mobile Crime Scene Unit; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen agrees to provide supporting funds to support the Mobile Crime Scene Unit,
including replenishing supplies and vehicle maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division funds,
the City of Allen assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen City Council authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the
State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for the Mobile Crime Scene Unit Grant, if
awarded.
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Allen approves the submission of the grant application for the Mobile Crime Scene
Unit to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Jmfice Division in the amount of forty six thousand nine hundred and
thirty one dollars ($46,931).
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage.
