' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, CERTIFYING THE INTENT FOR TRANSPORTATION
VAPROVEMENT PLAN (TIP) PLACEMENT FOR PROJECTS FUNDED BY THE
FISCAL YEAR 2001 STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT
PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Transportation Efficiency Act for the 21" Century provides for a transportation
enhancement program; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation has issued a program call for this program; and,
WHEREAS, federal guidelines require that projects selected for federal funding under the Transportation
Enhancement Program most be placed m the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) of the
Metropolitan Planning Organization; and,
WHEREAS, the following projects in the City of Allen have applied for funding through the Statewide
Transportation Enhancement Program: City of Allen Bridge Rehabilitation and Trail Linkages; Railroad
Water Station Restoration; and, Union Pacific Rail Corridor Acquisition and Conversion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
' SECTION 1. The above-described projects selected for statewide Transportation Enhancement Program
funding by the Texas Transportation Commission will be placed in the Transportation Improvement Program
(TIP).
SECITON 2: This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 19"' DAY OF APRIL, 2001.
