' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION STATEWIDE
TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR A PROJECT
NOMINATION PROVIDED BY THE TRANSPORTATION EQUITY ACT FOR THE
21" CENTURY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen, Texas demes to submit an application for the Pedestrian Bridge
Rehabilitation and Trail Linkage Project; and,
WHEREAS, the rehabilitated bridge will provide essential trail linkages across Cottonwood Creek in Allen
Station Park and preserve a historic transportation artifact; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to establish its commitment to pledge 20% match in accordance with the Texas
Transportation Enhancement Program guidelines; and,
WHEREAS, the City commits to the project's development, implementation, construction, maintenance and
financing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The submission of the Pedestrian Bridge Rehabilitation and Trail Linkage Project to the
Texas Department of Transportation Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program is approved; and the
City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary for the submission.
SECTION 2: This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 19ra DAY OF APRH.. 2001.
