ORDINANCE NO. 1793-1-00
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF MACRAE DRIVE TO MACRAE
COURT AND CHANGING THE NAME OF LOMOND DRIVE TO LOMOND
COURT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A
REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, has deemed it appropriate to
change the name of Macrae Drive to Macrae Court and the name of Lomond Drive to Lomond Court for
the entirety of these two streets, both being within the Glendover Park Phase V Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Subdivision Ordinance No. 1237-4-94 requires all cul-de-sac streets to have the suffix of
"Court"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest and the desire of the residents of
these two streets to correct this suffix.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the names of Macrae Drive and Lomond Drive in their entirety, are hereby changed
to "Macrae Court" and "Lomond Court," respectively. The Traffic Engineer is directed to correct the
maps and records of the City to reflect the change in street names herein and to cause appropriate signage
to be erected.
SECTION 2. That should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this
ordinance, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of said ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however that all other
provisions of said ordinances not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force
and effect.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly
so ordained.
