RESOLUTION NO. 1829-5-00(R)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION
OF THE ALLEN CITY COUNCIL HELD ON MAY 6, 2000.
WHEREAS, it is imperative to consider the returns of an election held on the 6th day of May, 2000, for the
purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials, and it appearing from said returns, duly and legally made,
that there were cast at said election 2,091 valid and legal votes; that each of the candidates in said election
received the following votes:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS: That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was given in accordance with law,
and that said election was held in accordance with law, and that Steve Terrell was duly elected to the Mayor's
Place of said City at said election, that Richard Buchanan was duly elected Councilmember - Place No. 2 of
said City at said election, that Susan Bardemay was duly elected Councilmember - Place No. 4 of said City at
said election, and that Melissa Owen was duly elected Councilmember - Place No. 6 of said City at said
election and said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to the
taking of their oaths as provided by the laws of the State of Texas.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body, the City Secretary
posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting on the bulletin board located in the City
Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having been so posted
and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the schedule time of said meeting.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN ON THIS
