AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 14-3 (1) TO
AMEND THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR TAP FEES AND METER SETTING CHARGES;
PROVIDING FOR A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABH.ITY
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, new bids have been accepted for touch read water meters, resulting in the need to change meter set
and tap fees to reflect the actual cost of the meters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The Code of Ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, be and is hereby amended by
amending Chapter 14, Article I, Section 14-3 (1), to read in their entirety as follows:
`Sec. 14-3. Tap fee and meter setting charges.
The tapping fee and meter setting charge applicable to the users of the City's waterworks and
sanitary sewer system shall be as follows:

SECTION 2. Should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this
ordinance, or of the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be adjudged or held to be void or
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said ordinance or the Code
of Ordinances, as amended hereby, which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. All ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however, that all other provisions of said
ordinances not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and publication in
accordance with its provisions of the Charter of the City of Allen, and it is accordingly so ordained.
