A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A DEPOSIT FEE FOR WATER AND SEWER
SERVICES; ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR RETURNED CHECKS; ESTABLISHING
RECONNECTION FEES; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinances of the City of Allen authorizes the City Council to establish a deposit fee for
obtaining services from the waterworks and sanitary sewer system, to establish a fee for returned checks given to the
City in payment for water and sanitary sewer services, and to establish fees for the reconnection to the waterworks
system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, establishes the following fees for all residential,
commercial, and industrial customers for waterworks and sanitary sewer system services:
Deposit Fee ..................... ................ ................................................................. $50.00
Returned Check
Reconnection Fees:
' During Normal Working Hours.....„ ...................................... _......... _................. _.$20.00
(Normal working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
After Normal Working Hours, Weekends, and Holidays ................................ _.... $40.00
SECTION 2: All provisions of the resolutions of the City of Allen, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of
this resolution be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other provisions not in conflict with the provisions of
this resolution shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3: Should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this resolution,
as amended hereby, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of said resolution, as amended hereby, which shall remain in full face and effect.
SECTION4: This resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage, provided
however, the fees and rates established herein shall become effective for services begirming February 1, 2001.
