A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING SUPPORT FOR COLLIN
COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH MENTAL RETARDATION FOR THE TENANT
BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Collin County and the City of Allen have insufficient low cost housing and insufficient
resources available to assist low-income families with disabilities acquire and maintain safe and decent
housing; and,
WHEREAS, Collin County Mental Health Mental Retardation proposes to utilize funds allocated from
the Texas HOME Investment Partnership Program for Tenant Based Rental Assistance for individuals
with disabilities residing in Collin County and the City of Allen; and,
WHEREAS, Texas HOME Investment Partnership Program has determined that assurance of local
government's support can best be assured by requiring a resolution of support from the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT: The City Council of the City of Allen agrees that the
program proposed by Collin County Mental Health Mental Retardation will bring valuable resources
into the city and county for low-income individuals with a disability and offers it's full endorsement.

COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 3RD DAY OF DECEMBER, 1998.
