R-1606-6-98RESOLUTION NO. 1606-6-98 (R) ' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE AUGUST 8, 1998, SPECIAL CALLED ELECTION BY THE TEXAS NATIONAL RESOURCE COMM64SION RELATIVE TO THE ANNEXATION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN INTO THE NORTH TEXAS MUNCIPAL WATER DISTRICT, SETTING THE RATE OF PAY FOR THE ELECTION OFFICIALS, THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ELECTION CLERKS FOR THE POLLING PLACE, AND DESIGNATION OF THE EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD. WHEREAS, on April 13, 1998, the Texas National Resource Conservation Commission, Austin, Texas, ordered a special election to be held on Saturday, August 8, 1998, for the purpose of annexing the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, into the North Texas Municipal Water District; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1: The Election Judge, Alternate Election Judge and Early Voting Clerk serving said election shall be and are hereby appointed as follows: Election Judge: Ross Obermeyer, 927 Rush Creek Alternate Election Judge: Pam Potter, 312 Clearlake Drive Early Voting Clerk: Judy Morrison, One Butler Circle SECTION 2: In accordance with Section 32.091 of the Texas Election Code, the judges and clerks shall be paid at the rate of $6.00 per hour and the election judge shall receive an additional $25.00 for delivery of the returns of the election. SECTION 3: There shall be a maximum of six (6) clerks at the polling place, if needed. SECTION 4: In accordance with Section 87.004 of the Texas Election Code, the presiding election judge, alternate election judge and a clerk shall serve as the Early Voting Ballot Board to count the ballots received in early voting.
