The Called - Special Session of the Allen City Council was
called to order by Mayor Pierson at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday,
September 8, 1983, in the Council Chambers of the Allen Municipal
Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Public Hearing: Proposed Tax Rate
(L FY 1983 - 84 (Agenda Item II)
Mayor Pierson advised that this meeting had been scheduled
in order to hold a public hearing on the proposed tax rate of
$.40 per $100 evaluation.
Mayor Pierson opened the public hearing.
No one appeared to speak either for or against the proposed
tax rate.
Mayor Pierson closed the public hearing.
Set Meeting Date to
Adopt Tax Rate
(Agenda Item III)
Mayor Pierson advised the Council that the proposed date
to adopt the tax rate had been planned for the regular City
Council Meeting to be held on Thursday, September 15, 1983,
at 7:30 p.m.
The Council briefly discussed the proposed date and action
to be taken.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilman Womack and seconded
by Councilman McClure, the Council voted 6 - 0 to set
the place, date and time to adopt the tax rate for
the next regular City Council Meeting, being 7:30 p.m.,
Thursday, September 15, 1983, in the Council Chambers
of the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen,
Texas. The motion carried.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilman Rodenbaugh and seconded
by Councilman Womack, the Council voted 6 - 0 to adjourn
the called - special session of the Allen City Council at
7:50 p.m. The motion carried.
