AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALIEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
AMENDING SECTIONS 6-59(a), 6.602 AND 6-603 OF CHAPTER 6, WALTH
AND ENVIRONMENT; ARTICLE III, 'SOLID WAST$' OF THE ALLEN
CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A REVISED SCHEDULE OF RATES
AND FEES FOR SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL AND COLLECTION; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, has determined it necessary to establish new
rates reflecting the new contract entered into by the City for solid waste collection; and,
WHEREAS, the new rates are to be effective June 1, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCH.OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Effective June 1, 1997, collection and removal of garbage from residential premises shall
be made for a fee charge of seven dollars and twenty-five cents ($725) per residential unit for each
calendar month. The rates to be charged and collected by the City shall be in accordance with the rate
and fee schedule attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 2: Effective June 1, 1997, the minimum charge for commercial and institutional garbage
cellections shall be nine dollars ($9.00) per month. The contractor will provide service and bill
customers for all categories of collection for which fees are established The rates to be charged and
' collected by the contractor shall be in accordance with Exhibit "A" of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however, all other provisions of said Ordinance
not in conflict herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
