ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, has deemed it appropriate to change the name

of Bandy Lane to Bethany Drive from a point beginning at Allen Heights Drive and continuing eastward
to its intersection with F.M. 2551; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed this action is necessary in order to extend the boundaries of
the current Bethany Drive to the eastern boundary of the City of Allen; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that there will be a minimal number of structures whose
address will be affected; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, is of the opinion that the name of Bandy Lane
should be changed to Bethany Drive from Allen Heights Drive and continuing eastward to its
intersection with F.M. 2551.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
'
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The street named Bandy Lane, from Allen Heights Drive and continuing eastward to
its intersection with F.M. 2551, should be, and is by these presents hereby officially changed and
redesignated as Bethany Drive."
SECTION 2: As a result of this change, the City of Allen will provide for notification of said change
and redesignation to all public utilities and postal authorities.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or portions of ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance.
SECIION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its adoption.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS,
ON THE 3 rd DAY OF JULY 1997.
