AN ORDINANCE
For the extinsion of Water lines & improvments to the Town of
Allen Water system.
Be it resolved by the Town Couneel of the Town of Allen,
meeting in regular session on May -I2- I955, that the following im-
proivments be made at this time;
No.I, A loading facilitie consisting of 2" pipe to be placed near
the Fire station from a connection on First Street.
No. 2, A pickup truck to be used oAl9 by the Town of Allen for the
operation ofthe Water system or any Town busisness.
No. 3, The extension of a I" line on 3.3rd at. approximatly 250
feet, to connect Eros Brown addition.
No. 4, A 2" line from the 3" main in D at. to south ir3- 2nd
to ease the load on 4" line.
No.5,$aint the inside of WATER DEPARTMENT BLDG. , as specified in
specifications to be drawn by Engineer.
X. 6, A sum of $I00.00 be approved for the repair of Ist street
due to cutting for water lines & also where crossings were made for
water lines.
I;o.7, A chain link fence around the Water dept. property, at the
tower. Specifications for these items are to be prepared by Koch &
Fowler consulting engineers, and the TownCouncel ask for bids on
each item or all items together.
That the Town secy. be dieected to have bid noticies placed in
loc�.l newspaper for the usual time prescribed by law, and date set
for opening same.
And father reeoumend that the Town Councel purchase a number of
water meters for stock purposes.
These items to be paid for from the TOWN OF ALLEN WATERWORKS
CONSTRUCTION FUND,and the remainder of this fund be placed in the-Aner-
EMF.RGENCIE FUND & the INTEREST & SINKING FUND. So at any time of
need it will be available to be used as deemed necessary.
