O-18-12-55TOWN OF ALLEN, TEXAS ORDINANCE N0. 18 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING OPEN FIRES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF ALLEN; PROHIBITING THE ACCUMULATION OF TRASH AND RUBBISH AS A FIRE HAZARD; PROHIBITING BURNING TRASH DURING CERTAIN HOURS; PROHIBITING THE BURNING OF MEADOWS OR STUBBLE FIELDS WITH 300 FEET OF THE CITY LIMITS EXCEPT BY WRITTEN PERMISSION OF THE MAYOR; PROVIDING PUNISHMENT FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the Town of Allen, Texas: 1. That It shall be hereafter unlawful for anyone to set an open fire within the limit: of the Town of Allen or to burn trash, refuse or rubbish in auch way or quantity as to create a fire hazard or a fire that could not be controled by water from one 3/4 inch out -let. 1. It shall hereafter be uglawful for the owner, oc- cupant or any person in control of any building, residence, store, business house or vacant lot located within the limits of the Tour of Allen, to allow trash, rubbish, leaves, grass or other waste of an inflamable nature which would create a fire hazard or a firs that could not be controled by water from one 3/4 inch out -let. 2. Any person guilty of the violation of my :action of this Ordinance shall be punished by fine of not lata then $1.00 nor more than $200.00, except the Corporation Court MY within its di:ore tion, suspend such fine upon the first offenas of any one person, by giving warning, and upon the second offense of any section of this Ordinance by the same person, the fine assessed shall not be suspended. So. $0 `'- By reason of the fact that the City Council considers the passage of this Ordinance necessary to the public safety and in the prevention of fires and to reduce fire hazards, it is hereby declared to be an emergency demanding that this Ordinance take effect immediately from and after its passage, and it is so Ordained.
