AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING FOR PUBLIC
USE A PART OF THE ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 14 OF
THE TOWN OF ALLEN AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS.
SECTION I. The following described portion of the
alley located in Block 14 of the Town of Allen is hereby
abandoned and closed for public use forever, to -wit:
SITUATED in the Town of Allen, Collin County,
Texas, and being a part of the alley located in
Block 14 of the Town of Allen and being more
fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 1 in
said Block 14;
THENCE EAST with the North line of Lots 1, 2, 3
and 4, 1$6 feet to the northwest corner of a lot
conveyed to Fred Day et ux Thelma;
THENCE NORTH to the South line of Lot 9, and 6
feet east of the southwest corner thereof;
THENCE WEST with the south line of Lots 9, B, 7
and 6,to the southwest corner of Lot 6;
THENCE SOUTH to the place of beginning.
SECTION II. The title thereto is hereby divested
from the public and vested in the owners of the property
abutting such abandoned alley; provided, however, that
this action by the Town of Allen is upon this express con-
dition that in the event it becomes necessary to reroute
the sewer line located in such alley, the First Baptist
Church, Allen, Texas, will reroute such sewer line at its
own expense. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
after its passage and approval.
Duly passed and approved by the CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, on this the -2 Z day of November, 1963.
