AN ORDINANCE ELECTING R. B. WHISENANT AS COUNCILMAN,
PLACE , TO COMPLETE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF T. L.
OXFORD= PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
THAT WHEREAS, the office of Councilman, Place _,
has beeome vacant by reason of the resignation of T. L.
Oxford, and
WHEREAS, on the 13thday of February, 1964, at the
regular meeting of the City Council, the Mayor called for
nominations for Councilman, Place _, to fill the
unexpired term of T. L. Oxford, and
NHEREAS, Councilman Phil Pringle nominated R. B.
Whisenant, which nomination was seconded by Councilman
C. E. Ottaway, and
WHEREAS, there were no other nominations and R. B.
Whisenant was elected unanimously.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION I: That R. B. Whisenant is elected Councilman,
Place _, on the Council of the Town of Allen, Texas,
to fill the unexpired teffm of T. L. Oxford upon his
qualifying as provided by law, shall ascend to such office.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
up®n its passage.
Duly passed and approved by the COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF ALLEN, TEXAS on the 13th day of February, 19966(},
