Resolution awarding construction contracts for sewerage system
improvements.
WHEREAS the City of Allen, Texas has duly and legally advertised
for construction contract bids for sewerage system improvements, and
WHEREAS the sealed bids so advertised for have been received, duly
opened, read aloud, and considered,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the construc-
tion of sewerage system improvements, Contract No. 845, be awarded to the
lowest bidder, Stimson Contracting Co., Dallas, Texas, for a total
contract price of $299,890.50, and for supplying sewage pumps, Contract
No. 846, be awarded to the lowest bidder, Southern Engine & Pump Co,,
Dallas, Texas, for a total contract price of $8,972.00. Since the City of
Allen, Texas has accepted an offer of a federal grant for aid in this
project under Public Law 660, that it is resolved that this award of
contract is conditional upon the approval of the award by the Texas State
Department of Health and the Federal Water Pollution Control Administra-
tion.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor, Gentry T. Jones, be and is
hereby authorized to execute the construction contracts for this project
in the name of the City of Allen, Texas upon receiving approval of the
contract awards from the Federal Water Pol ption Control Administration.

CITY SECRETARY'S CERTIFICATE
The undersigned duly qualified City Secretary of the City of Allen,
Texas does hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and correct
copy of the resolution as adopted in a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Allen, Texas on June 1, 1967; and further that such resolution
has been fully recorded in the Minute Book of the City Council.
