The called - special session of the Allen City Council
was called to order by Mayor Rodenbaugh at 7:31 p.m. on
Tuesday, September 10, 1985, in the Council Chambers of
the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Public Hearing on Proposed Tax
Rate for the Fiscal Year 1985 - 86 (Agenda Item II)
Mayor Rodenbaugh advised that this called - special meeting
was being conducted for the public hearing on the proposed tax
rate for the Fiscal Year 1985 - 86 which is 92.50 per $100
valuation.
Mayor Rodenbaugh opened the public hearing. No one
appeared to speak either for or against the proposed tax
rate. Mayor Rodenbaugh closed the public hearing.
There was no action taken on this item.
Set Meeting Date, Time and Place
to Adopt Tax Rate (Agenda Item III)
City Manager Jon McCarty advised the Council that it was
the city staff's recommendation that the meeting date, time,
and place to adopt the tax rate be Thursday, September 19, 1985,
at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Allen Municipal
Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilman Wolfe and seconded
by Councilman Koch, the Council voted 6 - 0 to
set the meeting date, time and place to adopt the
tax rate for Thursday, September 19, 1985, at 7:30 p.m.,
in the Council Chambers of the Allen Municipal Annex,
One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas, in accordance with the
city staff's recommendation, as stated. The motion carried.
General Discussion
The Council briefly discussed which members of the Council
would be able to attend the trip to New York for the presentations
before the bond rating agencies.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilman Pendleton and seconded
by Councilman McClure, the Council voted 6 - 0 to
adjourn the called - special session of the Allen City
Council at 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 1985.
The motion carried.
