With a quorum of the Council Members present, the called - special
workshop session of the Allen City Council was called to order by Mayor
Farmer at 7:12 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 1988, in the Conference Room of
the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Update and Discussion on the
Work Plans of the Council
Subcommittees for Finance/
Administration; Services; and
Development (Agenda Item II)
Mayor Farmer distributed to the Council the standing Council Subcommit-
tees document dated September 25, 1988. The Council discussed the city staff
support to the various subcommittees and the effectiveness of their support,
discussed their concern about keeping the City Manager informed of the
activities of the various subcommittees; their concern about the amount of
time required by the subcommittees; and the reports given by each subcom-
mittee.
Discussion of Goals and Objectives
for City Manager and City Secretary
During the 1988 - 89 Fiscal Year (Agenda Item III)
Mayor Farmer distributed to the Council the goals and objectives for the
City Manager and the City Secretary for the Fiscal Year 1988 - 89.
Items of Interest to the Council (Agenda Item IV)
The Council discussed the need for a workshop session as a regular mode
of addressing subcommittees and other various items on a regularly scheduled
basis.
Adjourn (Agenda Item V)
Mayor Farmer adjourned the called - special session of the Allen City
Council at 10:49 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 1988.
