' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE
ATTACHED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR MUTUAL ACCESS TO
CLOUDLIBRARY DIGITAL RESOURCES; DELINEATING RULES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council promotes public health and welfare by providing convenient, effective access
to a broad range of public library services to Allen citizens, including digital resources; and,
WHEREAS, various Texas governments have established electronic content sharing among their respective libraries
through Biblioteca's cloudLink service; and,
WHEREAS, the hrterlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791, of the Texas Government Code, authorizes units of
local government to contract with one or more units of local government to perform governmental functions
and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Agreement has been reviewed by the City
' Council of the City of Allen, Texas, and are hereby in all things approved.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached Interlocal Agreement for Mutual
Access to CloudLrbrary Digital Resources.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 12TH DAY OF DECEMBER 2017.
