Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called in order by Chair Doss at 8:06 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in
the City Council Conference Room located in City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas 75013.
1. Introduction of Board Members.
2. Conduct Election of Officers.
Chair loss called for nominations from the Board for the purpose of electing officers.
The following slate of officers was presented:
Chair Loss for the position of Chair.
Board member Simpson for the position of Vice Chair.
Board member Arnold for the position of Secretary.
With no other nominations offered, Chair Doss closed the call for nominations. Carson Doss was
elected for the position of Chair, Karen Simpson was elected for the position of Vice Chair, Kirk Arnold
was elected for the position of Secretary by a vote of four (4) for and none (0) opposed.
3. Approve Minutes of the August 16, 2017, Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Simpson and a second by Board Member Brooks, the
Board voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve the minutes of August 16, 2017,
Regular Meeting. The motion carried.
4. Update of Convention Hotel.
Ms. Cromwell presented an update on the Convention Hotel.
5. Update on CVB Brand Creative Refresh.
Ms. Jones reviewed the history and presented an update on the CVB Brand Creative Refresh.
6. Update on Marketing Agency.
Ms. Jones presented an update on Belmont Icehouse Services.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Secretary Arnold and a second by Board Member Staples, the Board
voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention
and Visitor's Bureau Advisory Board at 8:46 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. The
motion carried.
These minutes approved on the 21" day of February 2018.
