' Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the committee members present, the regular meeting of the Public Art Committee was
called to order by Chair Benson at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in the Parks and Recreation
Conference Room of the Municipal Courts, Parks and Recreation Building, 301 Century Parkway, Allen,
Texas 75013.
1. Approve Minutes from the February 20, 2018 Regular Meeting
MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Raines and seconded by committee
member Carroll, the committee voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed to accept
minutes from the February 20, 2018 regular meeting as presented.
2. Discussion with Artist for Windridge Park Seating Wan Project
The Committee members discussed with artist, Jon David De Leon, his experiences so far
working with the Allen elementary and high school students and his vision for the seating wall
project.
3. Update an Current Projects
The new page for Gone Swimmin' is complete and bas been added to the remaining Allen Public
' Art Guides. Page inserts were distributed to Committee members and will be made available to
those with existing guides as they can be easily added to the book.

The Spirit Park project is progressing, and the artist team is working on final copy for the
welcome and interpretative signage.
Nothing new to report on the GCAA project.
4. Discussion on Future Projects
Once the architect has completed the structural assessment on the Allen Event Center Rotunda, an
update will be shared with the Committee.
5. Items of Interest (announcements regarding local civic and charitable events, meetings,
fundraisers, and awards)

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
