JUNE 25, 2018
Call to Order and Announce a Ouorum is Present
With a quorum of the Councilmembers present, the Special Called Meeting of the Allen City Council was called
to order by Mayor Terrell at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, in the Council Chambers of the Allen City
Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
Consider All Matters Incident
and Related to the General Runoff Election Held on .lune 16, 2018
Canvass of Election Returns.
Ms. George reviewed for the City Council the election returns for the City Council General Runoff
Election for the City Councilmember for Place No. 3. She distributed and reviewed handout materials
including early voting totals, Election Day totals, and the combined Election totals. She also reviewed
voting statistics including 59,930 registered voters and 3,155 total votes, which indicated a 5.3% voter
turnout. Any votes cast by military overseas ballots (FPGA - Federal Post Card Application) and
provisional ballots have been verified by the Early Voting Ballot Board and are included in the verified
totals. The totals verified the following results:

2. Adopt a Resolution Declaring the Results of the General Runoff Election for the City
Councilmember for Place No. 3.
RESOLUTION NO. 3584-6-18(R); A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE RUNOFF
ELECTION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN HELD JUNE 16, 2018, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING
THE CITY COUNCB.MEMBER FOR PLACE NO. 3; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Councilmember Stout and a second by Councilmember Brooks, the Council
voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve Resolution No. 3584-6-18(R), as previously
captioned, declaring the results of the lune 16, 2018, General Runoff Election. The motion
carried.
Mayor Terrell announced that the Canvass of the Election was completed.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Brooks and a second by Councilmember Stout, the
Council voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Special Called Meeting of the
Allen City Council at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018. The motion carried.
These nunutes approved on the 10" day of July 2018.
